What are direct payments?
Direct payments are cash payments made directly to an individual so that they can decide how they receive their care. This is instead of the community care service they usually receive that is supplied by Social Services.
These payments can be used for:
- Help to live in your own home
- Help to access education
- Help with Periods of respite care
